Fourth Generation Biofuel

Fourth generation biofuels are fuels made from genetically engineered biomass that has higher energy yield, need no pretreatment, and can be grown on non-arable land. One of the most promising ideas the fourth generation biofuel offers is the carbon capturing. Scientist hope to create a genetic optimized plant that can take carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and lock it up inside the plant. The carbon rich biomass can then be converted to other form and stored away. The fourth generation biofuel will be carbon negative which is even better than carbon neutral or slightly carbon positive of other generation biofuel at reduce the greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.
